Vertical slice was a unique assignment within a group of 4 developers and 4 artists to recreate a small part of an already existing game to perfection. We both had to choose a 2D and 3D game.

2D Deltarune
During this project I worked on the UI of the game and added the sound effects and in charge of putting everything in the right place. We got a total of 4 weeks for this project and we ended up finishing it within reasonable time.

The "slice" of this game is this specific combat sequence between these two enemies called "tasques"
The main point of the project was to make a 30 to 60 second video of you showing off the slice you made so not every detail of the game is available but everything that had to be shown is available.

3D INSIDE
The second game is INSIDE where I was in charge of the visuals of the game
The fog, the theme, the lighting, the placements of the models, etc.

This was the project where I began discovering my passion for visual design work and I finally got a chance to tinker with it.
​
The part we took from this game was a short parkour piece where there would be a repeating flashing light in the background of the mist, causing an earthquake that would kill you if you weren't hiding behind an object.
​
We finished this project with time to spare but the models made by the artists were a bit off when it came to size so it doesn't look completely perfect but we still finished this and were proud of our work.
