Project Starfall
Project Starfall is and will be one of the greatest projects I took place in.

Project Starfall was a project set up by our school that was originally called HLO. A project that you could join for a month with fellow class mates and learn what it's like to make a game in an actual company. See it as a "mini internship"

This project gave me a good look at what it's like to truly work in a business together with my friends and I got to further explore my big passions, finding out what section in the Game Industry truly suits me.
Project Type: Game

The Game
The project itself was quite simple. We were put into a company setting where our job was to continue working on a game past group(s) have worked on. Through userstories everybody chose where they wanted to work on which resulted in quite positive results knowing that you could pick anything you'd wanna try out. This experience enlightened me on not only what working on games is like but also learned me where my passion lies, specifically in Game Design and Technical Artist.

The game is a 2D (with 3D models) metroidvania style games with an 80's theme. With the players being stranded on a planet, having to go through many obstacles and enemies and meet many civilizations to help them through their journey.

I have have taken multiple roles for Starfall involving coding/level designing/particle and shader graphing/game designing. But to keep it short I decided to pin down the two points I enjoyed working on the most as mentioned above. Having a blast with making the waterfall shader that serve as pleasing visuals for the background. Followed by my work with the water shader which I tagged along on together with my friends. Not to mention the orthographic shader, made to replace the camera that originally rendered our characters from an orthographic view which ended up being my first shader script project.

DISCLAIMER:
I can not share the GitHub to this game for it is not finished yet and I do not "own" the game. I have simply worked on it.
